  "We were staying overnight in the Abbey Hotel so decided to dine in the restaurant. What an excellent choice it turned out to be. The restaurant is bright and tastefully decorated and the ruins of Roscommon Abbey can clearly be seen. The menu was a bit limited, but what was on it was good quality. T..."here was a bread board on every table with several different types of bread for diners to nibble on whilst waiting for meals to be served. The bread came with fresh butter and a tangy salsa-type spread/dip. The breads and dip were very tasty. We dined on main courses of Pan Fried Chicken and Baked Hake. Both meals came with two very generous side dishes of mixed vegetables and boiled potatoes, were absolutely top class and beautifully presented.
