"Big Jug Hokkaido Dining was more of a hit with the people in our party visiting from the States, rather than those of us who live in Japan. The "Big Jug" in the name refers to the very reasonable priced, huge jugs of beer that they serve ice-cold to patrons. The menu is fairly large, but a great dea..."l of the dishes available are average Japanese bar fare, rather than being a specialty of the area -- edamame, sauteed corn, salmon and cheese platters, and general snacks. My wife chose the 8K set and I did the 12K set. Wine list was extensive ranging from $80 to $400 or so. We picked one Cote du Phone but the waiter steered us to a 2005 Bordeaux that was about $100 - probably something you would pay more for in the US given the vintage.
