  "Great restaurant. I went there as part of a tour group I was on that went to Israel and this restaurant was one of the dinners included. The food was great and there was so much. There was homemade pita breads, salad, something like a blooming onion without the grease, 2 kinds of steak, chicken, rib..."s, fries, lamb, and it kept coming and coming and coming. dessert was something like chocolate mousse for 4 people to share. The service was a bit slow, but the food made up for it. The tour group went on a little boat tour 1st and then had dinner outside. I recommend this restaurant. " More >

We had a "Meze" i.e. a series of small dishes like appetizers with all the good old middleastern stuff (Hummus, Babaganush, olives... 12 of them!) plus some BBQ meat, I had the lamb cutlets and they were juicy.   "Couldn't resist trying Avi's after reading all the great reviews. And when I saw the place was just 230 meters from my (equally excellent hotel - Emily's), off I went to check it out. With the main road being under construction, it took me a few extra minutes to find, but look for the neon sign. ..."I sat outside and had hummus, charbroiled eggplant, Israeli salad and a Goldstar. The meal came with green olives, three falafel balls, and garlic toasted pita (plus regular pita for the hummus). Every dish just exploded with flavor and freshness - a vegetarian delight. And the service equaled the food. The waitress was warm and friendly, and checked in with me just the right amount. This was just a perfect dining experience from start to finish. HIGHLY recommended!
