The crust is just right, same for the amount of sauce and toppings. For my money, this is probably the best pizza I’ve had outside New York. The prices are reasonable, and when I phone in for pick-up, it’s usually ready in about ten minutes. (No, they don’t deliver. Take-out only.) Dining-in experiences have been hit or miss. While I have no complaints about the food, the service occasionally leaves a bit to be desired. The food is great and we like it because it is a tapas bar.. small plates.. so you can try different dishes. The scallops are one of my favorites. You get two large scallops and quite frankly, one is to share. The flatbreads are changed out on a daily to weekly period. They have a great roasted chicken special during the week and on special occasions they change up their menu to include one of my all time favorites - oysters with spinach and pernod. I HAD been a frequent and very satisfied customer for 30+ years, but I had a terrible dinning experience when six friends from Euro..."pe visited April 2012. All of our food tasted awful ! I told the server & spoke with the manager, but they did nothing. We left the food uneaten, paid the bill, and walked out. Because of that bad experience, I have not dined at The Canton Restaurant for over a year. My brother who works nearby at United States Naval Academy recently brought Take-Out from The Canton Restaurant for our Family Movie Night. My Hunan Chicken was delicious ! All of our entrees were excellent. I was so pleased with my Take Out entree, I might give Dining-In at The Canton a try again. " More >
