"This place was recommended to us as a fine food mecca, somewhere to chillax and enjoy the sumptuous lunch offerings as they aren't open at night (apparently). It was a little difficult to find as signage from the road is not obvious. "Having had a superb dinner where everything was outstanding, really outstanding, we made our way to the dessert menu. The Belgium Chocolate dessert is to die for. The Apple feijoa pie was magic. A night to remember. It's clear these people love food. We wished we could just sit and work our way thro..."ugh the menu. We made a point of driving back from Paihia the next day to continue exploring the desserts and we were not disappointed. Kaffir Lime Panacotta with tamarillo in a beautiful sauce. We savoured every mouthful. Sadly they were not opened this evening for dinner or we'd have returned. The next day we they were closed. We'll plan a trip just to come here for food. The 3 hour drive from Auckland won't stop us returning. An exceptional experience of food.
