We were a family group of five adults and the bill came to only £84. That included some starters, a couple of deserts and two bottles of their cheaper, very good, wine. We all had different main courses and they were all excellent. I had steak and kidney pudding, and yes, you could see and taste the kidneys in it! So ten out of ten!   "My husband and I booked a table and it was a good thing we did, as the restaurant was full. The only slightly negative was the speed of service, slow. The menu was interesting, and the food was delicious. I had Tom Yum soup to start and my husband had the squid. Both were freshly cooked and lovely. ..."Our mains were equally good. I had sea bass and aubergine, unusual and lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone. I have family in London and I have been a little embarrassed to take them out in Chippenham. No more!   "Treated out to this quaint little pub on the edge of the Cotswolds. The pub oozes character and the food was tantalisingly good. Staff were all pleasant and very accommodating. One very minor item to mention, a centrally placed blackboard is great to update the availability and choices of dishes ..."but think a menu at each table is better so that you are not having to stand and overlook a table of diners whilst viewing the menu.
