The food was beautiful, although the portions are a little on the demure side - I had 4 grilled King Prawns for starters and Sea Bass for my main which were delicious, but I left the restaurant feeling hungry! The food was very tasty though, and beautifully presented with a good choice of accompanying side dishes. Again, we chose a Maltese wine (we were trying different ones each evening) and we weren't disappointed. They had live music on the night we were there, and all in all it was a very enjoyable evening. The total bill came to just under 80 euros, which I felt was just a little on the high side ... We were shown to our tables by a very friendly waitress, and were given the menus, and the specials were explained to us. However, we made our choices, and ordered a bottle of Maltese red, and settled down to enjoy the atmosphere in this little bistro - there is a small area upstairs, with extra seating downstairs, and the place was spotlessly clean. You can see the chef preparing the food as the kitchen area is at the end of the first floor seating area. Our starters arrived and were absolutely delicious. They were simple - we'd both gone for the garlic mushrooms, which came served on lightly toasted bread. Doesn't sound great, but they were lovely - positively oozing garlicky butter and pip...
