  "I first visted Astypalea last year and loved it so much I returned this year. The Astropelos taverna in the village of Livardia became a firm favourite. The view of the beach and the white town and citadel on the hill of the Chora is great. Lovely when lit up at night. The atmosphere is laid bac..."k and relaxed, a perfect spot to enjoy the sunshine and sip a drink or two. Maria is a great host and makes you feel very welcome and there are a number of regulars who you soon get to know as the place is so friendly. The Taverna is great for morning coffee, lunch or dinner. The Greek salad is epic and the Moussaka excellent. Other delights such as fresh fish, goat and rabbit and beef in lemon sauce are also on the menu. All at very reasonable prices. The Taverna also has some sunbeds and umbrellas so you can sit on the beach and drink your cocktails! There is also the added benefit of free wifi.
