"We had dinner here with friends on a Friday night at 8pm. First off, those who get turned off by the smoke when walkin through, step in because the restaurant has a non-smoking section, which for us is also a must. As a starter my husband and I Both had the snails. Ahhh garlic-y yummyness. Excellent...". For the main course I had the Seeteufel (I think that is monkfish) with fantastic sides of potatoes gratin and ratatouille. My husband had the 300g entrecôte. Simply delicious. We also ordered a bottle of wine and for dessert shared the tart tartin. Also excellent. If I had to say something negative, it would be that because the place is busy until 10:30 at night, the service was a bit slow at times but not dreadful. Also, it does get quite loud. We would definitely go back (and my husband has been going back for years). A reservation is a must on the weekend. It is pricey but well worth it.

"We just had a fabulous meal here. Starting from when we were greeted at the door the staff were very friendly and so lovely to us. We booked at 5:00 for a table at 7:00 and the restaurant was booked out for the remainder of the evening. After placing our order we received cold orange and carrot soup..." as a "compliment from the kitchen" it was amazing. I am not a huge fan of cold soup but this was a lovely indication of the food to come.
We shared three pots of starter (the croquettes was my favourite). Again everything in each of the three just had that little something extra that made it that meal you rave about. My main of the mince meat fritter was really well seasoned and served with a lovely rich sauce. Although full at this stage we had to have a look at the dessert menu and had the creme brûlée and strawberry mousse.
Total for a shared starter and dessert, main course each and two glasses of wine was just over €100. Very reasonable considering the night before we had dined in ...

"Have to say that we were somewhat struggling to find good food at reasonable prices in Lucerne so after a quick check on Tripadvisor decided to give this place a try. First thing we noticed was a really warm and genuine welcome. The waiter and waitress were happy to spend time explaining the menu ch..."oices to us and the restaurant decor is very nice and modern. The waiter recommended some dishes for us which were first class. Throughout our meal the service was impeccable, in fact I cannot recall having better restaurant service anywhere in the world. We went twice during our stay in Lucerne and both occasions were absolutely excellent. If you are staying in Lucerne and tire of over-priced mediocre food from the more touristy areas then take a very short walk to Stern for a lovely meal!
