  "We ate dinner at the restaurant last month, stopping spontaneously as we drove by one Sunday evening (they are open 7days, which is nice in France--no guessing games "are they open?"). My wife's family lives nearby, in La Garde Freinet. A warm reception, in a "manoir" environment, nicely decorate..."d, the dining room stone walls elegantly maintained, highlighted with candles. Traditional menu and a la carte options, generous portions, our entrees and main courses were very tasty and had a balance of meat/ veggies/ potato: well prepared yet a home feeling. Not a "haute-cuisine" locale, but excellent rapport qualite-prix, with a relaxing and charming dining room. We will be back on our next trip in June, to enjoy the outdoor dining area with the fountains and garden. " More >

The patron Dominique talked us through the menu and inquired about the level of spiciness we liked. We opted for the lunch deal which is either entree + plat, or plat + dessert fo..."r 12€. My vegetable pakora came with little dishes of chutneys and yoghurts and my friend tucked into her raita. We both enjoyed our main courses which came with nan bread and rice. Coffee afterwards brought the bill to 28€. Shahnawaz, the chef, previously worked at the Sheraton at Bukhara and the Intercontinental in New Delhi. Great experience but now he is enjoying life with Dominique, their daughter and their resto in Aix.   "A lovely restaurant to visit. Great house wine and fantastic fresh food. Had a long weekend and ate here with my family twice, both times, a great warm welcome and good service. I had a huge pizza the first time and then salmon pave which was a beautifully cooked fillet with vegetables, rice and a ..."little upside down soufflé, served with a salmon/shrimp sauce. Both meals were approx 30.00 euros per head. Great desserts, best one is the sharing one for two people @ 17.00 euros consisting a of tiramisu, creme brûlée, trifles and fruit salads - really nice. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back when visiting the town again. Biggest recommendation is that other restaurants around the harbour were empty whereas this place was heaving! " More >
