About the only things in the negative reviews that strike any kind of chord are the comments on the sense of humour - or lack thereof - of Madame la serveuse, and on the decor, which is a bit of cottagey-cliché...". The two waiters who saw to us were polite, unobtrusive and there exactly when needed. The maître at the caisse was very warm and endlessly apologetic when the crest card machine failed twice while we were paying. Our lunch, the menu de €19,90, was easily one of the best we have had in many trips to France. My wife's croustillante de Camembert was a large, very tasty salad and my moules au gratin was equally good. Me wife's plat, a pavé de saumon, may have been a rich overcooked, but that was counterbalanced by a mouth watering sauce.
