  "After spending quite a while traipsing round Totnes and being turned away, we wound up here. Thank goodness we finally felt welcome! We had lovely, well presented food, and very good service and left very happy indeed. I won't bother with the other places in future that's for sure."

Inside the restaurant has two feels to it, you have the authentic pub style dining which is spacey yet remains as private as you would like it.... the..." 'Duck or Grouse' sign above the low door frame is particularly welcoming as at 6ft2 a little warning goes a long way!! The glass house style dining area overlooks the river also and is a light, appealing dining space. The service is first rate every time and as for the chef... simply outstanding. Yes the prices are more than your local pub grub but marginally and when you consider that the quality of the food and cooking is way above local rivals, the slight price difference is truly negligible.   "I have all my early morning meetings here as the coffee is great and the menu while limited is all top quality. You need to get there early as it's always busy and there isn't a lot of space so don't plan to meet more than 3 others there."
