  "Who would have thought? In Salmon Arm, BC, there is a gourmet restaurant with excellent food. My wife and I took our daughter and her fiancé there on Mother's Day and had a wonderful time. It is a long, narrow room with tables on two sides and an open kitchen at the end. There are some wonderful..." decorations, some old, some new, plus a really lovely restroom. My wife ordered the beef tenderloin, the kids ordered duck confit and I, because I am on a slimming regimen, had a green salad and roasted garlic with fruit and yet more greens. Everybody except me ordered a beer (some are local and very good) and I had water (poor me.) I can't tell you what the others' dishes tasted like, but I can tell you about mine.
