walk a few steps more.... Do not stop just at the first central restaurant or at that with the panoramic view! What I'm looking for in a restaurant is a good ambience, a friendly but professional service, a good food, a right price: what we have found here, a small hotel-restaurant 100 mt from the very center of this mountain... We have been going to this family-run restaurant for about ten years and they remember us every time, even though we go only once or twice per year as we do not live close to it. A lovely reception, a great atmosphere and excellent food. Prices are reasonable and they do not try to sell you the most expensive wines.... More

We had diner at this restaurant on our first night in Cogne. The large crowd in the off-season indicates its popularity. My wife selected a steak and I chose the pasta. Our pumpkin soup was tasty and the main course was excellent and the service very good. Our waiter took the time to explain the Italian menu to us and... More

The menu features regional fare complimented by a wine list emphasizing Valle d"Aosta and Piemonte. Ambience is warm and relaxed which when combined by the gracious hostess and cordial wait staff make the restaurant a most welcoming place for a meal. We dinned for 2 hours trying a variety of regional specialities and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Prices are appropriate... More

We visited the restaurant that was recommended by our hotel. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very warm and welcoming. We ate homemade pasta and great Polenta with beef souce. All was very good. But most of all , the owner,Elizabeth, was helpfull, kind ,spoke fluid English and explained about all the good things you can eat. We enjoyed the place... More

I was introduced to this place some years ago by a local. Starting from then, I kept visiting the restaurant once/twice a year. The food is always delicious. Plates are linked to the territory, as you normally expect in a restaurant located in the mountains. At the same time, you have the clear perception that every preparation is very well... More

We arrived after lunch service, but were given a meal. Wonderful reception, excellent valdostan food topped with a fine gamay. Great way to finish a walk to the waterfall at lillaz.

Our first dinner was so flawlessly excellent, we went a second time in 4 days and were not disappointed. Also known as Arturo's, this restaurant serves local specialties. Everything we ordered (both times) was superb. Prices are not excessive and the service is beyond compare. We also liked the local regional wines.

I want to thank other reviewers, because of their reviews we checked out the restaurant and found that they also have a B&B upstairs. We thought it was ideal: after a day of hiking we could just go down and have dinner in the restaurant (Elisabetta, one of the 2 owners, will keep a table for you). Great local food:... More

We stayed in Aosta for skiing, and a friend from the town invited us up. It was a bit of a drive, but definitely worth the detour! Especially since we were getting a tiny bit bored of pizza and pasta. I had the carpaccio, which was amazing. It was the most tender meat i've ever had and delicately sliced Parmesan.... More
