A wonderful, cosy, independent tea room. The shelves are filled with teapots and afternoon tea is served on beautiful tiered cakes stands and quirky china teacups. The scones were delicious, as was the cake and sandwiches. We had a wonderful lazy afternoon, with many thanks to the lovely owner who made us feel so welcome. This is a little gem... More

I visited the Chocolate Teapot after having visited Hampton Court with some friends. It was an absolute Gem of a find! We had afternoon tea which was so reasonable. Lovely tasty sandwiches, the mini-scones were so cute and because there were a few of us so we could manage a few slices of the different cakes between us! Every single... More

A cosy little cafe; the walls adorned with teapots could be construed as claustrophobic but undeniably British. Take your mum for tea & cake, she'll love it. We went for a breakfast fry up which at £6.99 with a pot of tasty tea was pretty reasonable. Note the tea cannot be substituted for coffee & thus coffee must be paid... More

Took my friend here for lunch before we went on to the Big Bead fair at Sandown. Parked up by golf corse and its just a short walk. We got a table but only just as the place was soon full. Everything is very clean and the food very good, always delightful to have tea out of a china cup!... More

We were in Esher heading towards Sandown Park having just got off the train and spotted the sign pointing under the railway tunnel to a tea shop. A beautiful little quaint tea shop. Bone china cups and saucers already laid out on the tables, Helpful friendly staff. As we were on our way out we only really wanted tea but... More

Popped over to this really delightful tea shop....so much effort from cutlery to quaint furniture...I felt I ad stepped into an episode of "call the midwife". However I recognised the distinct taste of Betty Crocker devils foods cake and frosting...very disappointing...cream tea was great and staff very friendly ....will go back to support them rather than Costa and Starbucks...but please... Maybe there should be a couple of extra visitor photos, perhaps an outside view as well. We came on a recommendation. Would have missed it otherwise. Tea and cake seems to be very trendy nationwide and so many tea shops over do it, silly flavour combinations and ghastly schmaltz own the clothes and walls. Here they manage to hold back... More

My husband and I took my mother in law to the Chocolate Teapot on Mothering Sunday and we had such a lovely time there. I absolutely love the decor, it is very cute and quaint and the tea room had a lovely atmosphere. We ordered cream tea that came with sandwiches, scones and home made cake - everything was delicious... More
