Our Holland America tour stopped here for a lobster lunch. They served us quickly and efficiently, and everyone always had a smile and a pleasant word for all; even those on the tour who always found something to complain about. The lunch was well prepared and tasty, and the view of the river magnificent. My wife enjoyed shopping in the... More

We stopped at the Prince Edward Island Preserve factory to take a break from driving the island roads. We sampled the tasty preserves of what was currently for sale and bought several jars in various flavours and sizes both for ourselves and for gifts. They pack the glass jars for travel for free so no worries about them breaking in... More

Beautiful view of the Clyde River . Terrific food and very reasonable --consistent from one year to next . Also, before or after dining stroll throught the magnificent gardens and gift shop. A must on PEI !

This stop is not only fun especially if you get to meet the owner outfitted in his familiy tartan, with his entertaining personality, the food is amazing, they have a tasting counter so you can sample the preserves that are handmade. Make sure you take time to stroll along the river while walking in the gardens of hope. The fall... More

Stumbled upon this while we were out on a family bike ride - the ice cream and lemonade were so delicious and refreshing we returned several more times for snacks and lunch. It was expensive and the service was little slow but everyone enjoyed their meals - including the PEI mussels. The store is a great place to pick up... More

We were on a tour and with one of the many busses that stop here but they were very prepared for a crowd and served efficiently and absolutely the best lobster we have eaten. We come to New England/Canada every fall so have tried many lobsters so feel our opinion is well founded. The pie was delicious. A nice stop... More

A busy tourist stop with bus traffic. I ordered a lobster pot pie and got an open dish of thin gravy (?) with a few tidbits of lobster - definitely not what I expected. Salads and deserts were good. Pretty location but all things considered - not worth it.

Thank you for your comments. I agree with you on the Lobster Pot Pie, we certainly had a week of non-performance on that item and I am truly sorry for your experience. It is not normal for us to have mediocre food. We are back to the drawing board on the Lobster Pot Pie. I can assure we will get... More

I come to PEI every year as my grandmother was born here and still lives here. I enjoy touring around the island but we generally stay away from most tourist areas. This is about the only 'tourist' trap she enjoys. She loves the restaurant and the preserves. They offer a wide variety of jams and jellies, decorations, among other things.... More

Stopping at this shop was part of our tour. Yeah, it's a tourist trap but it's really nice and we enjoyed getting to taste all the perserves and teas before purchasing them. I also found this marble necklace at the cashiers desk that I bought and I found I received alot of compliments on it when I went back on... More
