Hotel de L'orient is well located and set in a beautiful building. The food is not a let down either. Although the waiter does have a difficult time differentiating between chicken and beef.

Beautiful location- set in a leafy courtyard of an exquisite French colonial type building. Majority of the food was excellent (bar the Tuna- tasty but dry). Te creme brulee was incredible. A tad pricey but well worth it for the ambiance.

we ordered for tender loin steak and crepe with sea food filling..both were exceptional! the service was great and for dessert we ordered creme brule which felt like a party in our mouths! we ended up going there again for dinner! def one of the best restaurants in pondi!

We ordered curry dishes which were tasty, however they were made with Western tastes in mind, meaning the curries lacked any heat. We being from Mumbai are not really accustomed to dinner at 7.30pm, we took the reservation concept a little lightly. But we were welcomed here, and given great service. If you are looking for some local speciality cuisine, do have dinner here. Very beautiful ambience, lovely courtyard setup. And great smiling staff.
