We were fortunate enough to hold our wedding reception evening at Le Gemme in May 2013. Our ceremony and drinks reception were in Torri Del Benaco organised through Romantic Weddings and the day couldn’t have gone better. Once our 24 guests arrived at Le Gemme in the evening they were blown away by the location, view & ambience and that’s... More

This is the second time we've visited Le Gemme di Artemisia and there was no way we could visit Lake Garda without going back. When arranging the meal we were dealt with personally by Lara who was really helpful in explaining the menu and giving advice. When we arrived we were greeted at the door by both Lara and Andrea... A weekend excursion to Lake Garda, organised around a cookery course, seemed like and excellent plan and we were not disappointed. Andrea and Lara could not have been kinder and our two days were thoughtful, well planned and delicious. I think it woud be hard to fail the course but there was much to learn and it was very interesting... More

My husband and I took the cooking class for my birthday. It was just the two of us and we received a warm welcome - even though we were late. Our fault as I didn't follow the directions properly - you need to put their info into the sat nav and not the Google address! We made gnocchi, eggplant pies... More

My husband surprised my friend and I with a day at a cooking school in Italy. We didn't really know what to expect, and I was hoping it would be "hands on" and we could learn by doing versus being a passive observer. Chef Andrea and Laura's class far exceeded our expectations, I don't think I have enough superlative's to... More

I've been meaning to write this review for a long time, I'm not really a review person but Andrea and Lara's place definitely warrants mention. The first time we found Le Gemme di Artemisia was in May 2007, they had only just opened (we were the first to scribe in their visitors book). What an experience, stunning setting, incredible food.... More

Our half-day cooking class at this beautiful place perched on a steep hillside above the town of Torri on Lake Garda was a highpoint of our trip. Andrea and Laura are enraging, hospitable and their place is drop-dead gorgeous. We had fun with the cooking, the banter and, most especially, the eating. We'd go back again.

Whilst visiting Torri in July this year we had a taster meal at Le Gemme and it was fantastic. Lovely fresh produce and the perfect setting. I'm not sure we will experience another restaurant quite like it and are heading back to Le Gemme next year as the venue for our wedding reception....can't wait!

We cannot adequately describe our visit to Le Gemme di Artemisia for a cooking class! We were greeted with breakfast and coffee overlooking Lake Garda. While we relaxed, Lara and Andrea prepped everything. The cooking class itself was excellent - Andrea taught us a great deal about Italian cooking (including what ingredients to look for in the US, special techniques... More

We attended the cookery school for our 10th wedding anniversary at the end of June 2012.The restaurant is situated about a 10 minute drive above Torri with the most fantastic views over Lake Garda. Lara and Andea couldn't have been more welcoming. We had a light breakfast with a cappuccino at around 9.00 when we arrived and the whole day... More
