Visited this excellent pub twice in a week on our recent trip to Monmouth. Excellent staff, decent menu ,value for money and fantastic view of the wye. A perfect place to spend on a sunny afternoon.

Our teenage son was doing a sponsored canoe challenge , we met him at the ferry inn for lunch as this was half way , the pub is rustic in appearance but delivered on quality – polite staff big choice of ales. We sat outside next to a table of guys on a stag do all very pleasant. I went... More

Ate at the Ferrie whilst on holiday, We thought the menu was a bit limited, not the usual stuff you get in pubs, we were in two minds whether to stay or go to the Old Court, we decided to stay and my husband had the mixed grill, which was packed with quality meat perfectly cooked, with hardly any fat... The location of this Inn is wonderful as it sits on the river Wye. The staff are extremely friendly and the food was lovely. The Inn is a charming place to share a meal with friends

We ate here on a miserable, wet day, and were more or less the only customers, but we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The service was friendly and helpful. The beer was excellent. The food was wholesome and straightforward, and beautifully cooked. Three of us had ham, eggs and chips, and two had scampi. The ham was delicious (and lots of... More

Big thanks to the Ye Old Ferrie Inn staff. Booked last minute for an overnight trip- everything was lovely from arrival to departure. Room had gorgeous views, food was great both for dinner and breakfast. Good selection of beer and cider on tap and even our morning's canoeing was organised for us. Looking forward to returning soon!

The views from kingfisher room are lovely. The service really good with nothing too much trouble. Very laid back and relaxing. Great location for staying at whilst dropping teenager to biblins camp site just one and a half miles walk up the river for a Kilimanjaro training camp...rather than going home before pick up. Very rustic and oldie world with... More

This is our (6 Mountain Bikers) second visit to Ye Old Ferrie Inn. We doubted that it would be as good as the last time but it was. It was fantastic – the food was awesome (breakfast doesn't get better than this) and the friendly welcome afforded to us by the Proprietor and customers was just great. We will return...
