We did a wonderful bike ride from Brugge along the wonderful countryside finishing up in Damme and lunch at Tante Marie. Sitting in their courtyard out the back was wonderful way to spend an afternoon trying different home cooked foods.

Perfect palce for a sweet moment in Belgian countryside. Try the asorted pastries and warm tarts. They cone with ice cream and sauces.

Stopped for a visit to Damme and popped in to this place for a hot drink. It has a lovely feel about the place and the cakes and drinks were heavenly and served with lovely touches to the food and drinks. The service was good and friendly, it's a very nice patisserie and brasserie.

We sat in the little courtyard at the back in lovely sunshine and had the most fantastic lunch we all chose from the three tasting savoury dish menu which came with lovely bread and salad. We then shared one... More

We usually do quite a bit of research before every trip, but there's always room for some spontaneity. In this case, it was in the middle of a leisurely bike ride from Bruges to Damme. Damme was a quaint little town, windmill and all, and while I'm sure it's no secret to Belgians, we feel we kind of stumbled into... More

We had a 7 km walk along the canal from Brugges to Damme ( around 1 hour). Stunningly beautiful ! Jacques Brel´s "Plat pays" at its best. You can do it by steam peddle and it takes around 30 minutes. Damme is a little rural place and you can go for a walk into the country side - post card... More
