We ate here prior to attending a play at the art centre. The food was fresh, well presented and delicious. We both had starters - stuffed squid and tomato,.mozzeralla and avocado salad, Mains were an enormous calzone and grilled tuna. House wine was good. Staff attentive and prices reasonable.

Never fails! Great service, food always freshly cooked and more than generous portions. The locals are so lucky having such a delightful restaurant and they offer theatre-goers 10% discount - how good is that? Whenever I'm in Helmsley, I go for a meal and shall be there very soon. A traditional Italian right here in our North Yorkshire National Park. Great food and atmosphere.Prices are good too and the service is always first class. We visit often and are always happy here.

Been several years since we've been. Called in on spec for an early evening meal, and again were slotted onto a table for two. Excellent food and service still. Under twenty quid a head for two main courses, two drinks, a pudding and a coffee.

A friend had booked for a meal last Saturday only to find the restaurant wouldn't honour it when we arrived (they didn't deny our booking but said they had phoned us to change the time - they hadn't). They were contradictory and rude. Very poor customer treatment.

Arrived with a group of nine at the agreed time to find they had given away our table due to confusion (on their side) with the booking.
