We decided to dine here after visiting Dario's workshop. Granted, it is a little made-up, but so what! The guys at he officina put up a great show, and it's definitely an experience to go through at keast once!

This is a place that is really unique. It is basically a butchery with an adjacent room that is being used as a restaurant. One big communal table where if find a seat, you grab it and introduce yourself to the stranger next to you. We tried to read the menu and order but it was futile. The owner just...

We went there, after we got some very good recommendation from our friends who are also meet eaters. The place is amazing, food, atmosphere, the owner, the idea...everything...go for a dinner, don't eat the whole day, because you need an empty stomach...i am looking forward to come back! Thanks Dario!
Maybe... Absolutely unreal steaks. Can't find enough superlatives to describe the quality and taste of the steaks. Atmosphere is also quite possibly the best in the world. Service is also... I'm repeating myself... Just GO THERE! Reservation is necessary!
Well-known, much loved and lauded by chefs and food cognoscenti all over the world, master butcher/chef/ restaurateur Dario Cecchini's continues to delight serious carnivores with his 50 euro fixed menu. This is where steak lovers get to eat 3 of chianti,s most famous steaks - the Costata alla Fiorentina ( bone-in Rib-Eye), Bistecca Fiorentina ( T- bone/Porterhouse) and the Panzanese...

We went there for lunch and was blown away buy the quality, quantity and the level of personal service we got. Basic lunch set 10 euros and tasting set 50 euros with 2 steak courses. I literally cannot walk with my feet on the ground after a 2.5 hours lunch. For me this is a must Tuscan experience. I look...

Hello everyone! One of my best evenings EVER. The meat was tasty (even if it comes from Spain - who cares... what counts is quality and integrity and how the animals are kept!) Dario is a very special person - he entertains everyone and infects you with his happiness and passion for his country. We'll be back!!
Walked into what we thought was simply a butcher shop, to find that through the back and up the stairs was a dining area where diners could eat the vast and various meat that is prepared downstairs.
The interior is wonderfully rustic, and the long tables conducive to chatting to raucous and frenzied conversations with people considered strangers only minutes...

We decided to check this out and had a great time. I just wish we knew some Italian to communicate better. Dante was there the night we went and his something else. He gave me a steak bone and it made me very happy. The place was full and the steak tartare was to die for. It melted in your...

The communal table was only half full when we went but the evening was still filled with new friends, excellent food and way too much wine, grappa and "Brandy Militaire". By all means bring your own wine (no corkage fee) if you want something other than basic Chianti. To me the sharing of wine was part of the fun. Dante...
