Been a customer for many years but noticed the reviews of late saying new ownership. The same family has owned Olmecs for at least 6 years that I know if so I visited on 15/4/13 while in the area for coffee & cake. Rest assured the cakes & coffee are still great and the owner & his family are still...

Was making a booking and the fellow said out of the blue "you have a voucher do you?" like I was doing something wrong if I had (I hadn't). I then asked why it mattered and he was quite rude. I then said to forget it.
Don't put yourself in the voucher book if you're going to treat voucher holders...

We used to go to Olmecs every week, and over time it got slower, and slower and we ended up getting frustrated at the waiting time for food.
However, 2012 has seen a huge turnaround and the place is hopping and humming under its new floor manager, John. Everything is attended to in a professional and efficient way.

Have to say that the food is soooooo fresh and the calamari is better than Athens. Staff are so friendly and welcoming and the prices are outstandingly good value. There's something for every everyone. I can recommend the platter for two and don't forget a huge slice of one of their amazing cakes - you can even take a seat...

I eat here for lunch sometimes. I think I have tried the whole menu, or most of it anyway. it is nothing fancy, just good size meals at a reasonable prices. You can get a good size lunch for 10 to 15 dollars. They have beer on tap. There is always a newspaper to read Staff are friendly

The serving size was also plenty to satisfy a power eater like myself. All...

The servings are certainly large, with two out of three breakfasts - great blueberry pancakes with vanilla butter and a colourful spanish omelette - remaning unfinished. I, on the other hand, wasn't going to return my trio...

I didnt even get there - I rang to make a booking and the person on the phone was extremely rude and condescending. When I asked to speak to the manager he said he was the manager and hung up on me! Avoid this place - if the table service is anything like the phone service you will be disgusted.
