Heard about this restaurant from Lonely Planet guide and Trip Advisor. Very close to Waitomo Glowworm Cave. We sat on the outdoor patio on a nice day. I had a warm salmon salad with noodles, broccoli, a balsamic reduction and mayonnaise. Great flavor combination. Friendly staff.

This is a wonderful place to eat in Waitomo. Food and service excellent. They also offer a set menu option at $40 for a 3 course meal. Yum would recommend it

Went to dinner with mates and we ordered Stuffed Mussels,Arancini,Char grilled broccoli salad,Pork Rillets and Braised Beef. All I can say is wow,the meal was great,I don't eat mussels but I ate a plate of their stuffed mussels ,if you go there you so need to try these. Awesome cafe with a great view and delicious food! Had the rabbit hot pot while my partner had the chicken...yummo! They also brought our fresh bread with olive/balsamic and some mixed nut thing to dip it in..omg...to die for! My wife and I stayed at the Top 10 site next door. Huhu was highly recommended by the site owner and we weren't disappointed. Friendly, knowledgeable waitress, creative food full of flavour. An outstanding experience. We were only in town for one night or would have eaten there again. Brilliant.

Despite the somewhat sterile atmosphere we highly recommend Huhu cafe. It is probably the best cafe/restaurant in the area. We have been there several times and enjoyed the food, the service and the view. Good place to eat for people that travelling in the area

We had the salmon and the steak and it was truly scrumtious!

Nothing to dislike about this place - food was delicious, wine was lovely and the location is lovely.
