Ate there with my wife in the first week of September. The ambient reminded me more a 1930s restaurant of a big city rather than a countryside location. The owner is very nice and rather informal, and does not push you. We arrived quite early and were served reasonably quickly; the place was empty (it was mid week) until a... More

Ate here twice while staying in Trevi. Its on a little side street just off the Piazza Mazzini. Enjoyed tortellini with truffles and caprese salad. Also good veal mista. They would prepare whatever you wanted even if not on menu. Most items were 5-8 euros. Very nice people and gave us great service. Of course good bread and olive oil.

Most of the recommended places like Gustavo (which is around the corner) were shut or have gone out of business. We chose Maggiolini. Right choice. I can recommend the ravioli with zucchini, and they have strangozzi with truffles and without. The trick is, as we observed later (too late) to ask the waiter for the option you want or might... It's worth the 1 minute walk down Via San Francesco to discover Maggiolini's - fantastic frittata tartufo, great pasta made in house, and lovely grills (vitello and maiale highly recommended) - great service and great value - couldn't recommend it highly enough

We dropped by Ristorante Maggiolini in Trevi in mid June 2012 (the main square was undergoing a lot of renovation) on a quiet week day around 2-3 pm; we were the only customer in the restaurant, and the server made us feel very welcome. The setting is traditional and comfortable, well represented by the photos posted by TA reviewers. Although... More

Wonderful little restaurant in a pretty quiet but beautiful town, despite construction in the area. Food was "molto bene" and as usual in Italy, the service was perfectly genuine and helpful.

We found the Ristorant Maggiolini the day before we ate their, and we decided there and then that we would have to eat at this lovely little "warm inviting cave". We returned to Trevi the next evening and we were not disappointed in anyway. The food and service were brilliant and we were made very welcome by the staff (waiter).... More

This restaurant has a warm, inviting ambiance. There was American Jazz playing on the sound system and the walls are festooned with local oil paintings. Our meals were delightful. We started out with an order of bruschetta which was top notch. I had grilled strips of veal on a bed of radicchio and my wife had tagliatelle with funghi. The... More
