We had a simple, casual lunch for four, each of us ordering the Korean pork tacos, plus some hummus. The food was mediocre; fatty and unappealing. Service was lame. Yet, the bill was almost $100. The outdoor patio was filled, so we had to eat indoors. There was a squirrel running around indoors, literally climbing up on the tables, and... More

No, they don't have a Happy Hour for your wallet. But they do offer a great view, super service, and a delicious bar menu. The Happy part is what you'll experience if lucky enough to sit outside in the afternoon looking up at Half Dome, sunshine, and your favorite beverage. Our server, Mike, for the four days of our visit,... More

We decided to do a quick lunch here after a day of hiking and I was really expecting more from this high dollar famous hotel. The thing I could not get over were the squirrels that were roaming around on the floor from table to table eating the crumbs.. (Me being a country texas girl) this was unsanitary and I... More

We had eaten from Degnans Deli and vowed not to go back due service, so next day we went to the Ahwahnee Bar and it was a very pleasant surprise in not being too much more in price than a takeout sandwich with a coffee but came with very nice service and very good quality food. Don't muck around when... More

For many years, even when staying elsewhere in the Valley, my wife and I (and fellow travelers) have been coming to the Ahwahnee bar for dinner. It's a limited menu and pricey by all but Yosemite standards, but far less than the Ahwahnee Dining room with none of the pomp. Good drink menu, great service, fast and cozy -- far... More

We had lunch here twice during our stay in Yosemite. Both times the food was fine and the service was okay. Their chicken/apple salad on a croissant role was very good, as was their soup. $15 for a martini is a little high, but it was a double. The bar has a nice atmosphere, with old pictures and artifacts on... More

On our hiking break, we ended up at the Ahwahnee Bar for a snack and beverage break. We sat outside in October and it was beautiful. Awesome Old Fashions and yummy appetizers (not cheap, but take a look at the view!) Complaint: Squirrels creepy!

I like to mix it up, go for a healthy hike then enjoy a good meal! The Ahwahnee Bar is perfect, it has a great menu, the food is nicely prepared, the servers are always friendly, and it costs much less than the Ahwahnee Dining Room which is great for breakfast but out of my price range for anything else.... I was NOT impressed with the selection of food they have at the Ahwahnee Bar. I really wished I would have packed a lunch and just eaten that because I was disappointed by the quality of food. The Ahwahnee hotel is impressive and definitely an icon of the Yosemite Valley. That being said you'd think they would have a higher... More
