Situated in an old historic building (now a B&B) this was really a great restaurant. The food was superb (we had the chicken and the raviolis but the menu changes). The small restaurant had a small staff who were great, attentive, etc. A must visit restaurant if you are in Vicksburg.

We had a wonderful meal in this small charming dining room. There are only a few tables and most were filled by people staying at the Mansion. We had reservations and they were ready for us when we arrived. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the white tablecloth atmosphere. The chef is one of the owners and the food... More

I stopped here with a historical tour of Vicksburg. Anchuca is absolutely lovely, so beautifully restored! The owner and the staff are so professional, true Southern Hospitality! We had the Asparagus Bisque and the Chicken Salad made with the pineapple cream cheese. Both were wonderful! The ice tea is good and strong and tastes like tea. For desert we had... More

My husband and I ate dinner at this restaurant when we were visiting Vicksburg in mid-April, 2013. The ambiance is very nice and the service was excellent. We shared a fried shrimp appetizer which was very good. I had shrimp and grits and my husband southern seafood medley with grits. The main courses were delicious. We definitely recommend this restaurant.

Since we were staying at the B&B, I thought we would just eat there too, and we were not disappointed. The food was exquisite, and the atmosphere was very nice. My husband had the Creole Sampler and I had the Cafe Shrimp & Grits. I don't really like grits, but these are wonderful! We also don't usually have dessert, but... More

We had a marvelous meal and very good service. We were staying at the mansion and had breakfast as well as dinner. Both were very good meals, Chris has made a very good menu and Tom was a delight with his knowledge of the area. Thanks for a great time.

Gracious, southern hospitality, excellent food, signature drinks, and the sense that you are among friends sums up the experience at Anchuca. The kitchen is very competent, and the wait staff are experienced in that southern way that makes it possible to anticipate the needs of regular customers.

My wife and I found ourselves in Vicksburg after an afternoon of shopping, so decided to have dinner there before returning home to Jackson. All the restaurants I was familiar with were either closed or had a very long wait. Before heading back I turned to YELP on my iPhone to see if there was something I was not familiar... More

Chef Chris is gifted! The Tuscan-style shrimp and grits was outstanding. Don't miss the desserts: wonderful bread pudding and chocolate bourbon pecan pie. I love pimiento cheese, and Chef Chris's is delicious. With help from various relatives and friends, he has crafted his own special recipe. He adds some cream cheese for smoothness. I will try this when I get... More

My husband and I each had a different choice from the special menu. The service was excellent. The meals were outstanding. Chris is a wonderful chef. He came out to say hi, and get our reviews.
