Ok, you arrive in this little strip shopping center with a line of people outside the Kaila Cafe. We got there around 7 AM and waited maybe 15 minutes. I had their quesadilla with egg and spam (yes, Spam!) and it was Fabulous. Skip had their burrito and was in seventh heaven. Just delicious!

After reading the great reviews on this place, my friend and I arrived on a weekday just before 7:00am opening time. When we entered the already unlocked door at 7:05am, we were told very tersely that they weren't open yet, and that their sign (with 7am start) was on the door. Not a very cordial welcome. Pros: Their coffee is... More

The pancakes and waffles at Cafe Kaila reminds me of breakfast at Sam Choy's in Kona back when they had the Koloko location. The heaping pile of fruits and powdered sugar just gets your appetite revved up. But the price tag was as hefty ($38 for two breakfasts, two coffees and before the tip) makes this a one time event.... More

Cafe Kaila is by far one of the best places in Honolulu for breakfast and a light lunch. The food is always fresh and wholesome, prepared when you order it and the prices are good with reasonable portions But... somehow, Cafe Kaila got in to the tourist rags pushing the places to go and places to eat so it tends... The great food quality and service is still there, but the wait time gets more and more ridiculous. One time we waited about 30 min. It's a very popular spot and everyone knows about it now. Also, their menu appears in Asian travel guides with pictures and translation, so it attracts even more people. Still awesome, but it was time... More

Large portions, low prices and DELICIOUS!! Can't beat it. This place is certainly the diamond in the rough located next to Foodland a couple blocks from the strip in Waikiki. Its worth finding.

I was worried after reading some reviews mentioning bad service but decided to check out Cafe Kaila anyway. OMG amazing. I had the breakfast BLT with avocado and loved it so much we are actually going back in the morning before our flight leaves so I can have it again. I thought $2 for adding avocado was steep, but they... More

It seemed pretty busy but that's a good thing for the most part, right? It means the people like the food! Me and my people did. We all had breakfast wraps & they were delicious! My Bff who lived in town took us there because it's one of her local favorites. I'd definitely eat there again. The service was just... More
