I had a fantastic steak and my gf had fish. The fish was very good as well and in fact it was so good that even I myself liked it. And that says a lot considering I do NOT like fish. Two thumbs up for Hy's!

Hell, couldn't believe that we've been married sooooo long. Ha! ha! A special evening so we decided to "what dah heck might as well splurge little bit, yeah!" Dressed up in "aloha" shirt wid long pants and shoes for a change rather than t-shirt, shorts and rubbah slippahs. Mrs wore a beautiful black outfit and looked rather stunning. We previewed...

We made reservations for dinner since we read that was recommended. Both our dinners were devine (filet and ribeye). My filet might have melted in my mouth if I had be able to leave it there a minute. We mentioned it was our anniversary and were brought out a cheesecake slice with a candle in it. They then took our...

Visited Hy's as it was the wife's birthday and she fancied a good steak.
After reading the reviews on here and speaking to a few locals we decided this was the place to come.
We were not disappointed as both our steaks were cooked to absolute perfection and the service was also up there with the best.
Yes its expensive,...

The service was great, as was was the food. Classic steakhouse favorits. I would have given them five stars if I hadn't been sat in the pink 1980's room, despite my reservation. I will be back on my next visit though, the food is great as is the service.
Hy’s – very expensive, but we are on vacation. My favorite the baby lamb chop’s-very large portions – enough for two and for desert the banana foster to die for. The Filet Minion steak is marvelous, so tender. I love the old world charm, the wooden decor and you can even see you dinner being prepared on the grill in...

I recently went to Hy's steakhouse in March and again in April. It is conveniently located in Waikiki, close to all the action. It is tucked away in a hotel, has been a Honolulu icon for ~ 3o years. As you enter, you would think you are in an old San Francisco icon. The dark wood and library feel are...

We're kind of biased for Hy's. The lamb is the best and that's all I eat every December. My wife orders different steaks and always enjoys her meal. Good deal for good food.
A group of fourteen, seven married couples spending 6 nights and 7 seven days on the island. We set out first night after long flight for romantic dinner at the hy's. The service was great, along with the atmosphere, five of us made poor decision order our meal. The manager came to accommodate us . The night ended with delicious...

We wanted a good steak dinner in Honolulu and looked on Tripadviser. Hy's was highly recommended so we booked for that night. We were advised to come after some large parties had been catered for, so that our order would not take longer than was acceptable. We found the staff very pleasant and helpful as we do not know all...
