sit at the bar, watch the bartender/scientist concoct his signature drinks, and order the lobster tails. it will taste and feel exactly like santa fe.
This is a very pleasant, fresh restaurant which is beautifully appointed, Santa Fe style. Food and service were excellent. We had unique, sumptuous Caesar salad with hearts of romaine served in "towers." Mushroom strudel was also delicious and served with flair. Even the onion rings were special with a smidgen of red chile hitting your palate. Only negative for me... More
I have eaten a few times in the less pricey upstairs of Coyote Cafe, but we had Thanksgiving dinner in the main restaurant. One of the top five meals ever....really. My wife had a filet mignon, with baby squash, new potatoes, saffron poached pear salad. I had an Elk Tenderloin that makes me want to kiss Teddy Roosevelt's tombstone for... More
If you plan on going to Santa Fe a stop at local restaurant is a must and while there are many to choose from Coyote Cafe is certainly one that should not be looked over. The service is prompt, the food is delicious, and everybody is friendly.
The food here is extraordinary, the service fabulous and the experience a genuine Santa Fe experience. They know what they are doing here. The bar is also a great place to sit to have dinner or drinks and apps. Open kitchen, super conversations. One of the best in Santa Fe!!!
My husbnad and I went here just for an appetizer but ended up splitting a burger- it was so. good. Definitely the best burger we had on our trip- we were getting a little tired of carne adovada. The drinks were great too. I had one with pop rocks and it was so fun!
I highly recommend the elk filet - I wasn't expecting it to be great after reading some reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! It wasn't the least bit 'gamey' and was in fact, extremely tender and moist! I would order that again if I get the chance to return.
I was in Santa Fe for a business meeting and we had a group meal at the Coyote. I found it to be a very nice experience. The food was great. I had the Elk Filet and found it to be quite nice. The service was exceptional for our group as well.
We went to Geronimo twice and loved it! Coyote cafe has almost the same menu and same presentation. The prices are the same though, but it's a much more informal restaurant and easier to get into. We stuck with Grey Goose martinis and wine, and they were great. We talked to another couple who had margaritas and were not happy. It... More
We were visiting Santa Fe with 2 other couples for the weekend. After a great walk through the local Farmer's Market we decided to do a walk through the plaza and thought that a good way to start it would be with a Bloody Mary. We actually called ahead on our way to make sure that they had Bloody Mary's... More
