Went for a late lunch and sat outside. The sushi was good. The salmon sashimi was wonderful. The service was very good as well.
Service was good, clean restaurant in a good location, and no wait on a Friday (probably a bad sign), but food just wasn't that good. Had pork dumplings which were a little burnt but OK. Also ordered spider roll and San Antonio roll which pretty much tasted like sushi from anywhere else. I didn't particularly care for the Pad Thai... More
Lunch service is quick and the Thai food is tasty. The lunch portions are just right so you don't walk out feeling like you need a nap! They also serve Chinese food which is a bit unusual, since most folks go to a Thai restaurant for Thai and not Chinese. Definitely a change of pace from all the burger and... More
This place has incredible food. Ordered the fried Brread and shrimp and they were delicious. For our main we ordered the curry noodles which I've never seen on any many before. . Was great! Also posted the ball fried rice and drunken noodles. Fabulous fabulous fabulous. So going back.
This place has wonderful atmosphere, but regretfully the food is only average. The four of us basically had appetizers, I had the papaya salad and sticky rice, two had sushi, and one person had spring rolls. My papaya salad was so-so, sweeter than I expected and not very spicy... The sticky rice tasted old, sort of like you would expect... More
The food, drinks, and service were all awesome. Great place!
Fresh, thoughtfully prepared sushi. One of THE sushi places in S.A. fantastic selection and quiet atmosphere. i have been coming here since they opened. Mon a Mi- the bar that used to be in the back and now is across the walkway is outrageously fantastic. Great clsssic drinks, for your 24+ crowd. Drinks take a little longer- but are hand... More
Great ambiance. Not too large and the spices are always just right. They also have the single best specialty sushi roll in town. You must try the Tuna Bomb. Believe me you will thank me.
I almost hate to write this review; as it will simply expose two of our favorite places in San Antonio to more people; but then why be selfish? I've been visiting Mon's Thai for 5 years or so; and have stepped up my visits to at least once per week in the last 3 months. Consistently exceptional Thai food as... More
We have been following this particular sushi chef for 15 years. Why? Because his rice is amazing, his technique is beautiful, and Mon, the owner, has an excellent fresh fish purveyor. If you like Tamago, Hilario makes it fresh, none of that gross plastic sweet egg looking stuff. He can also create anything you have a hankering for! Did I... More
