I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU, to the staff at Ibiza Patio Restaurant in the Palacio Del Rio Hilton Hotel on the San Antonio river walk. They played a very special part in one of the most memorable moments in the life of I and my wife Angie. I chose to surprise my wife (of 20 years)... More

My wife and I were in town for thanksgiving and we wanted to see the lighting of the river so we stopped in and had dinner at the River's Edge cafe. Apparently they hve just recently renamed the restaurant (formerly ibeza), but we had never been there before. I have eaten on the river a few times and I can... More

My wife and I were looking for a place to eat for a late night dinner around 9:00 pm. We had just finished an historic walking tour of Haunted places in downtown San Antonio so we were hungry. Most of the places were crowded and had a long wait for dinner at 9:00? So we found this restaurant that was... More

We got into San Antonio at about 1900. By the time we checked into our B&B we just wanted a drink and something light, ideally on the River Walk. We wandered down and just picked this place. The service was very good. My wife and I just shared 2 appetizers and drinks. Nothing spectacular, but exactly what we wanted.

We enjoyed a fantastic fish&chips here and combined with good service in a less hectic area along the riverwalk, it is one of the best choices for a lunch. Highly recommended for excellent quality lunch!

11:30 in for lunch with 4 adults. Fish and chips came out with very overdone fish. When complained about 10 mins later it took another 15 mins for replacement fish to be brought out on a saucer. Cobb salad looked OK but have no idea why it was smothered in pepper, I scraped off the areas it was heavy and... More

We sat there at least 10 minutes with a waiter and waitress standing around and they saw us. We got up and left!

Breakfast, I didn't have much time. So I simply ask the young lady for hard poached eggs on white toast. 10 minutes later? Soft eggs on wheat toast. Whatever, I ate it without comment. After work, down to the bar I go for a night cap. When I drink scotch it is always Macallan 12. I know what it is... More
