Description: The intimate restaurant at Lodge on the Desert is framed with floor-to-ceiling windows and overlooks a spacious secluded Saltillo-tiled outdoor private patio featuring a four-sided fireplace for optimal year ‘round al fresco dining. It reflects, as does the bar, a genuine, richly authentic Southern Arizona historic charm and ambience including rough-hewn artist-design hand-painted wood beams and Mexican tin chandeliers. This is the ideal venue to showcase Lodge on the Desert’s ‘new American’ upscale and contemporary cuisine, blending flavors from America’s melting pot with cooking techniques both traditional and unconventional. Executive Chef Ryan Clark's focus includes incorporating fresh ingredients from local growers and organic producers. Trained in classic french cooking from the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, New York, Clark's food is well balanced and flavorful.

Stayed at the Lodge on the Desert for a weekend and had the pleasure of dining here twice during our stay. Our first experience was for lunch on the outdoor patio. The Mojitos were delicious and we were so glad we ordered the Made to Order Guacamole. I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas which were very unique with two eggs over... More

We were quite excited about dining here as it is the home to Arizona's Iron Chef America and we were staying at the hotel so could enjoy a margarita and not worry about driving home. The margaritas are as wonderful as they say, however the food was average. As is the case in much of America the portion sizes are... More

Loved all of our meals! The scallops were delicious. The tamales were outstanding. My husband is still raving about the corn beef open faced sandwich. We loved the food so much we ate here most days and nights.

My wedding just took place at the Lodge on the Desert. It is very intimate yet we hosted about 150 people for the reception afterwards. Great place for an outdoor wedding yet they can move the event inside if weather was to become inclement. All my guests raved about the fabulous food and the wonderful service. The catering manager, LeeAnn... More

I heard this was a nice "boutique" type hotel/restaurant and was excited to try the breakfast menu. As a local resident, I'm always looking for a quaint place to take out of town guests. Actually took my mother and she ordered the hash with poached eggs. Hash was burnt with a crunchy texture! Was supposed to be accompanied by a... More

We spent a week at the Lodge on the Desert and had several meals in their restaurant. Their dishes are unique and very well prepared. For breakfast we especially enjoyed the Calabacitas omelet and the Pumpkin pancakes. Dinner was also excellent. We chose the Fisherman's Daughter shrimp with penne pasta and the Amish chicken. Both dishes were delicious, well seasoned,... More

While staying at The Lodge on the Desert we ate our first meal at the restaurant for convenience. Though we intended to try other local restaurants, we enjoyed our first meal so much and were anxious to try other great choices on the menu, so we ate there during our entire 4 day stay. The menu changes seasonly to feature... More

Breakfast doesn't start until 7am and when we arrived early to be first to order we did not get our food until after 7:30am. Do the cooks show up at 7:15am? On the plus side, the food was good -- not great, but good.

We like this restaurant for the quiet atmosphere and the food is generally good. Whenever we have visitors from out of town, we usually bring them here for a meal. This time we invited two of our neighbours for their respective birthdays and was a bit embarassed when two of their orders were not available...no non-alcoholic beer and no dark... More

The Lodge on the Desert is one of the best restaurants in Tucson. The chief is very creative. The waitstaff was efficient. Go for a southwestern treat.
