Was there with a tour group for a bakery tour. They were very informative and gave us a wonderful sampling of their baked goods. Enjoyed the history and seeing the demonstrations. A must stop while in the Providence area!

You walk into an old fashioned bakery with glass pastry display cases located in the heart of Providence's Federal Hill on Atwells Avenue. I had the choice of many pastries, including Italian, American, and Austrian pastry. You could buy a Linzer Torte ,Rasperry Squares, miniature layered chocolate cake, cream puffs, cupcakes. And the display of regular size cakes were impressive... More

We saw Scialo while on Cindy Salvato's tour Savoring Federal Hill. We were invited into the baking area as part of the tour and co-owner Carol gave us a history lesson for Scialo's; a great introduction to Italian Bread. You cannot leave without buying something for the ride home. Fabulous.

Good bakery with great cakes at a reasonable price. Highly recommend. The flavor and design was beautiful and the cake was exactly what we wanted.

Came upon Scialo Bros. Bakery while exploring Federal Hill recently and were very happy we did. The young women in the shop were helpful and very pleasant. Their Cranberry Pistachio cookies and Almond Biscotti are unique and scrumptious. They are pricey ($15.00 per pound for cookies) but every bite was heavenly so it was truly worth it.

The best Canoli's on Federal Hill...by far! This bakery has the best Italian pastries on the Hill. I will always stop by when I am in the New England area visiting familyand friends.

I just visited Scialo's for the first time as part of a walking tour and so got to see behind the scenes there. I learned that all treats are handmade from scratch, and cooked in the huge brick ovens which speaks to the authenticity of the food. I'm not Italian or well educated about what makes a great cannoli but... More

What an incredible place! In our part of the South, you just do not find bakeries like this anymore. From the screen door to the wonderful Italian ladies who served us, this place was a flashback of the best possible kind! Wonderful place and friendly staff.

friendly staff and great selection. Go just to treat yourself or to buy a whole cake or pie, it's all good.
