This came recommended by our hotel for "good food and good beer." Great beer selection, and everyone in our group enjoyed their food. I had the curry turkey burger and it was amazing! Service was nothing incredible, but pleasant and fast service.

We have been to the Bayou at least 3 times searching for an authintic New Orleans taste. Although the food is good, it does not have the flavors or spice of anything in the Big Easy. The Gumbo was bland and did not hve thefresh seafood flavoror spiceyness of any Gumbo in New Orleans. But then again, SLC is more... More

This is one of my favorite places to grab a drink and delicious food. Not to mention to the live Jazz music and overall great atmosphere. Check out my full review here: http://downtownonmain.blogspot.com/2013/04/salt-lake-city-eats-bayou.html

This is the best of Salt Lake's 'beer choice' restaurants based on that criteria with an endless menu of drinks to choose. The food is always good, but perhaps outperformed by Squatters, but the atmosphere is fantastic.

Very popular downtown restaurant. Really good Cajun food and lots of beer choices. It seems like this place is always somewhat crowded but even packed the wait wasn't more than about twenty minutes. Nice little outdoor seating area, too. Gumbo, Jumbalya, but plenty more. Two pool tables and a large dining area. Walking distance from downtown hotels, if you are... More

This is a great brew pub. The food is eclectic, fairly priced and great portions. The beer menu has over 300 bottled beers from all over the world plus a dozen or more on tap. Great atmosphere and they even have live music (nice not loud and obnoxious)

This place is my new Sunday tradition. Since moving to downtown Salt lake City I have eaten here over 25 times. best cajun food around. They even have a cajun burrito which is a great unique dish. Love it. The beer selection will make you stay for a few hours just trying as many as possible.

After traveling all day, walking into Bayou felt like I found a friendly place to relax and have a cold beer and a great meal... I was right! Friendly staff, great bartender, and a great selection of tap beer was just the beginning of a perfect place that makes you feel welcome. Then the menu, full of wonderful choices, classic... More

I've been here twice and I feel like this is the place people come to for good company, fun atmosphere and reliable food. And I say reliable because though not a foody, sexy word, it is the best word I can think of for this restaurant. The food is always good. For the variety in the menu, they are consistently... More
