I never write reviews... ever (!) but felt compelled to do so for this place. Dinner was fantastic and so we came back for breakfast. I wasn't hungry for the rest of the day, the veggie breakfast was that big (and super tasty too)! Thumbs up guys, will call in again when back in the Coromandel :) PS - Check... More

Pancakes are nice. The atmosphere was quite nice with a beachy type feel about the place. Should have tried out the dinner here but we got totally rained out that we just got takeaways from somewhere else. Their dinner menu looked interesting though.

Breakfast was excellent both for vegetarians and meat-eaters. Husband said the venison burger for dinner was divine but I was disappointed with my vegetarian main course. It was quite bland and there wasn't much food on the plate. My starter was more substantial! Nice outdoor area if it's warm. Interior decor could use a bit of inspiration.

A friendly staff. Great kids menu and great attitude to children. Delicious food for adults too :) We loved the rib eye steak with roasted beetroot - amazing!

A little pricey but if you like fresh food prepared well, it's worth the cost. Had the seafood bisque and green lipped mussels, the mussels were just slightly over cooked (had that chewy consistency). The breads were fresh and their tartar sauce was excellent.

First visit was just for coffee, and it looked so good we went for breaky the next day, and again the following day for more coffee and baked goods. There are several areas of seating, enclosed area in bad weather, covered but mostly open, and completely open air tables, with good view of the harbor, next to a small park.... More

The seafood hot pot and fish of the day, snapper was absolutely delicious. The service was great, but give the dark ale a miss.

I had a lovely meal of seafood stir-fry full of fish, scallops, squid and prawns. It was in a lovely Thai curry sauce with kaffir lime leaves and other herbs. Absolutely delicious!

On a recent trip to tairua my son and I were turned away three times over a period of three days because a bus tour was either showing up, was already there or had just left. The final time was the day we were leaving as it was right across the road from our hotel we wandered over at 7.55... More

Thanks for your feedback. Firstly, I would like to point out that there were no 'locals' having coffee as you state, they were in fact, staying at the same facility you described and were waiting patiently for the cafe to open at 8am as stated by both staff and advertising. As there was some cleanup to do after a large... More
