I've been going to El Carey for about two years since I moved to the area. I love the food (Mangu Pockets are my fav), the owners are the BEST, and I love the outdoor atmosphere. The food may take some time to be served but its because everything is made fresh and at the moment. My advise, order a... More

If you like fresh fruit juice, just go with whatever they made fresh in-house that morning. The first day I had fresh watermelon juice and it was incredible. Their breakfast arepas and jobos are delicious. I think I ate here 3 of 4 mornings in Isabela.

5 stars because the food (and smoothies) were great and most importantly, they have excellent vegetarian options. It is tough to find authentic Puerto Rican cuisine without meat or fish and El Carey was the only exception we found. It's a great spot to stop off on the drive from San Juan to the west coast.

This was our last stop before leaving Isabela , read about it in Trip Advisor and decided to try it. What a treat, the food is excellent and a great value with an outstanding service. Dont miss it if you are in the area.

My husband I were looking for a place to stop for lunch and a beer, but only food is found here. The food is excellent, but not the cleanest of places. Try the watermelon juice because it was YUM!

El Carey is a very laid-back-casual spot; the food is very creative, colorful, cheap and fresh! We always love to show friends this hidden gem when they come visit. The owners are the sweetest people! Will always come back!

We love great cheap eats, and this place was quick, friendly and tasty. However, my wife described the bathroom as "vile."

We were staying close and decided to drop in. We are glad we did. Our lunch was so good (pulp salad and a few burgers) that we decided to go for breakfast. This place is k own for it's breakfast and we were blown away. The food was great but the owners infuse such passion andisland friendliness that you'd be... More

Wife and I had a really good breakfast here while visiting for the Rip Curl Pro. Oreo pancakes with 2 eggs and ham along with a bacon egg and cheese sandwich hit the spot. Two coffees and bottled water and total bill 16$ which was more than fair. Friendly service and a cool setting, just a short walk from surf... More
