wonderful and friendly service along with an EXQUISITE preparation of a tuna steak, just delicious. The 'tuna' sashimi appetizer was disgusting (on the edge) and cut with an obviously dull knife. Amazing that the two dishes came out of the same kitchen. Not a great sign.

We went to Monocacy Crossing Restaurant, like many others we are sure, due to the high rating comments. Our disappointment started at the parking lot entrance. The lot is not paved and has no disabled parking spaces. We made our way across the stone and gravel lot and were greeted pleasantly, and escorted to a table in the front of... More

Never judge a book by it's cover, as this restaurant doesn't look upscale, but in reading the menu, and getting excellent service, it was a real treat! Not for the everyday dining experience, it definitely is a place to visit for a special occasion! Pricier (but not outrageous), but worth it, as the food was delicious, and service was excellent.... I'm a bit remiss in writing this review, as I was there just over a month ago. My experience at Monocacy Crossing was nothing short of amazing. As a professional traveler, I love going to towns where I don't have to eat in a chain restaurant (while there's also those towns I wish there were a chain), but I digress.... More

Some of our friends don't agree with us, but it is at the top of our favorite restaurants. Interior is dark and a little in need of sprucing up, but the food is great!. If you are in the mood, the dark interior is quite romantic. Love it!

One of the best wine lists I've ever seen, educated staff who will call the manager if they don't know the answer. Food is of course excellent as well, service was superb. Kind of out of the way, but worth finding.

This is an old house that has been converted to a restaurant and bar. Love the atmosphere however, this it a costly adventure. Good, but not for an "everyday" dinner outing.

Before our son was deployed to Egypt we had a 3 generation family gathering at Monocacy Crossing. When he returned this March his first request was for the family to get back together at the same restaurant. What a wonderful choice! Their food is amazing as is their service. We had a variety of appetizers, wines, entrees, and desserts. We... More

I like this place for special family dinners like a Mothers/Fathers Day.

I'm working outside of Frederick and drive by everyday decided to stop and so glad I did. Best restaurant here. The coconut pound cake is awesome and homemade by the owners grandmother if I have the story correct.
