Description: Serving the finest in Northern & Regional Italian Cuisine, La Grotta offers old world charm and friendly, first class service and is located in the heart of Buckhead. A local favorite since 1978, La Grotta has received Best of Atlanta Award from Atlanta magazine since the mid 1980’s, prestigious DiRONA and AAA Four Diamond Awards since the early 90's. La Grotta is tucked away in the heart of the Buckhead residential district and overlooks the lush gardens of the condo courtyard in which it is located. La Grotta literally means "the cave" in Italian and was named such for its cavernous and warm setting. The La Grotta staff is also well known and regarded for its vast knowledge of its customers, the food, diverse knowledge of languages (our staff speaks Italian, Spanish, French & German) and attention to detail. The menu specializes in Northern Italian cuisine with seasonal changes to reflect freshness of ingredients with a focus on locally grown produce.

We decided to come to Atlanta for an Anniversary weekend getaway. We celebrated at La Grotta last night after numerous recommendations. First, the building is a rundown condo. Don't be scared away...just valet your car out front. Go down the elevator to the basement. This restaurant is old school but in a great way. It's dated, but they treat you... More

We went with friends and experience exceeded expectations. Dinner was outstanding, ambiance was superb, and Sergio, the owner, added the final touch. We enjoyed meeting him and he added a dimension to the outstanding service and food.

They accommodated us at the last minute, for a table of 10- busy graduation weekend. What fabulous service and more importantly, fantastic food(!!!)- the place was packed, and yet the service was warm, attentive, friendly, and fabulous! Gave us the best recommendation for entrees and wine, and provided us with the most memorable weekend for a family of 10, ranging... More

Some friends and I went to La Grotta for dinner last night to celebrate a couple of birthdays. What a delicious present indeed. La Grotta is located in the basement of a condo complex, but don't let the location fool you. Upon entering the restaurant, you're taken back in time with an atmosphere that is reminiscent of an old time... More

Guess I have eaten at so many top notch places that I am not easily impressed. Food was very good NOT superb, service was also very good and the prices were a tad high. My party loved this restaurat but I though it was a good evening but I have had better Italian. I think the tables are a tad... More

I am always looking for a good Italian resturant. Last night while visiting Atlanta I found the best. This Atlanta gem served one of the best veal dishes I have had. The service was excellent. They even made a pasta dish that we requested that was not on the menu. I highly recommend.

Year after year, the food and service here is wonderful. And the prices are still very affordable. They have a stimulus menu that can't be beat, including a fine wine.

The food is consistently top notch quality and the service is quiet and non-intrusive. We leave totally relaxed and always know we will be back.

I've been here several times and always had a great meal with great service. One of the more formal places to eat in Atlanta, they encourage gentlemen to wear a jacket, but still worth the visit. A broad range of classic italian dishes, usually well prepared and definitely well served. Worth a visit, especially for those special occasions.
