Since the relocation, the restaurant has improved. It's more spacious and there is a separate door and entrance for take-out customers. The bar area is small, but adequate. There needs to be more seating for waiting customers. It's gets a bit tight standing at the door. The relocation has not affected the food. The broiled scallops and shrimp along with... More

Without a doubt the best restaurant in Richmond. Absolutely terrific food, more-than-generous portions, very reasonable prices, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Where my wife and I always take our out-of-town guests.

The fish here is fantastic and you got lots of it. Now that's a bargain! Croakers Spot really is a Richmond Treasure. There is nothing else like it here. I miss the seafood I used to eat in the Carolina's but the trout at Croakers will be one of my favorite memories of Richmond from here on.

While in Richmond, we had the chance to check out the Croakers Spot. Being from NC, I am used to fish camps and boy this was not a fish camp. When we eat fish here you expect fried fish, french fries, cole slaw and hushpuppies. At the Croaker Sport, we were served steamed cabbage, cornbread, grits along with the fish!!... More

We were making our way back north from Williamsburg, VA and wanted to stop for dinner around Richmond. I'm so glad that we stopped by! When you drive to the place, there is no lot that we saw, but there were plenty of on street parking spots. We arrived about 5:15 pm and were promptly seated at a table near... More

One of the most authentic restaurants in Richmond. Most all have the same food and the same theme. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

I really like the food at this restaurant but each time I have gone it has been extremely busy with lines on the sidewalk outside. The food is absolutely great but patience is a must if you visit when it is busy. I have no idea when it is NOT busy as I have come on different days and times.... More

I visited my niece at VCU on 2.11.12 and definitely craved some soul food. She suggested Croakers. Well the gentleman opened the door to a decorative, hard wood floors, and artisticly flavored establishment. The server was from Australia who was very knowledgeable of the menu, taste, and flavor. I had a difficult time choosing one item for brunch but decided... More
