Description: Unwind, Italian-style, at Rialto, where James Beard Award-winning chef Jody Adams brings an Italian perspective to New England ingredients. This September and October Rialto's kitchen turns its focus to Tuscany, where a passionate devotion to quality ingredients informs a simple, seasonal cuisine. Current menu offerings include Ravioli of Braised Rabbit with a saffron pepper sauce; and Cacciotto, traditional Tuscan Seafood Stew, with house-cured salt cod, shrimp, clams, mussels and charred plum tomatoes. The Boston Globe awarded Rialto a coveted four stars in three consecutive reviews and Gourmet Magazine named it one of the "World's Top Hotel Restaurants." Salt is the worst ingredient you can add to food, yet some chefs seem to think that a meal is incomplete without it. I can see why people like this place. It's a lovely venue, has a great atmosphere and very comfortable. Service is swift and efficient. Our wine glasses were never empty and we didn't have to wait too... More

I was here as part of a group, so cannot comment on prices etc since somebody else took care of payment :-) I don't mind restaurants in hotels -- very convenient -- but I tend to find them good, but not great. The same applies to Rialto: good food (fantastic bread!), good service, but that is about it.

If you really appreciate food for all the right reasons...call and reserve a table now! The recently remodeled dinning room is now an atmosphere not just a space!

Dinner at Rialto this weekend was quite good, yet I can't seem to shake the feeling that the prices are slightly high for Harvard Square. The chicken under a brick had great flavors, as did our raviolo appetizer. The high point here was definitely the service, which was impeccable. My water glass was constantly full and I was never left... More

I wish I had read some of these reviews before reserving Rialto for a special celebratory dinner this past weekend. Probably not fair to judge a restaurant on a Saturday evening - but Rialto supposed to be one of the best, at least that was my memory of it from the last time I was there. Ambience lovely, service attentive... More

Service was cold and inattentive. The lasgna was basically a tasteless crepe, the chick pea and flavo pasta dish was disgusting, the trout was OK, the best dish was the pork. The cost did not refect the quality at all. The cost for parking is crazy, $25 for 3 hours!! My son just graduated from the Culinary Institute of America... More

Sat at the bar at Rialto-had 2 small plates which were veggie pickled & broccoli & large plate which was shrimp & a side of spinach. The food was perfect-he prices were more than good& my server, Mirabelle, was great. Would so recommend & can't wait to go back

The essentials, warm bread, olive oil, frequently replenished glasses of water were met. Service was cordial and prompt. It was the food that left me a bit underwhelmed. The fisherman soup was good, however it could have been excellent had it had some seafare. The trout was well cooked, but was too salty. The bread pudding was good, but no... More

Given the marketing of this restaurant you expect more. As often in the US the menu descriptons are seductive but the actual dish is less appealing. Ok but not a thrill for the three of us having dinner

We have eaten here many times, and we have never been less than happy with Jody Adams's seasonal approach of Italian regional cooking, using local ingredients.
