Wow, the Mineral Lodge has improved drastically in the last 10 years. It used to be tiny and not have much information available, but now there is a very nice facility with tons of information and multiple rangers available to tell you all about the history of Mt. Lassen, Mt. Tehama and the surrounding area

Mineral Lodge is a funky, cozy, homey kind of place. Coming in from outside on a crisp autumn day... there is nothing that can match the warmth of a wood burning stove and the aroma of bacon, pancakes and syrup! The food itself is pretty average as cafes of this sort go and the prices fair...but the portions are huge!...

Not much to dislike, for somewhere miles from anywhere the menus for both breakfast and dinner were fairly comprehensive and the food was of good quality.

We stayed at Mineral Lodge during out Lassen trip. The rates were very reason and the room was big enough to host a dance in. We opted for the efficiency unit which was fun, because we ate our tasty Trader Joe-purchased food while sipping wine and staring out into the pines around the parking lot. Really, it was a picturesque...
