When you combine the incredibly fresh bounty of Alaskan seafood with an innovative Asian fusion chef good things can happen. Some really good things happened when we came in for dinner. Service by Brett was flawless (his incredibly deep and rich voice had the ladies in my party swooning and requests to reread to menu items!). I started off with... More

I went to this restaurant after it was recommended by two different people. I debated between the Thai Shrimp Noodle Soup and the Beef Pho, so I asked the server which he recommended. He recommended the Beef Pho. The dish was excellent. Though the portion was not as generous as I am used to in San Diego and San Francisco,... More

Met a friend early evening in the bar. Bar menu dishes were delicious - had the risotto dipping balls and the sauce was fabulous; my friend had the yam cakes and loved them. Good prices too! Bartender funny and attentive. Will go back for dinner!

Excellent stop for some wonderful flavors and variety of Asian cuisine. Some very creative dishes to choose from. Some great soups and appetizers. Generous portions for entrees. And some great deserts to choose from.

Here for a convention, we happened upon this place for lunch. Excellent food! The seared scallop mac & cheese will make you weep, it is THAT good. Also recommend the curry soup - creamy and tasty. The turkey burger was made with peanut sauce, with added a great flavor. The only down side was the so-so service. She never checked... More

Last night we attended the latest play at Cyrano's Theatre Company. It has become a custom of ours on theatre nights to go down town Anchorage and have dinner prior to the performance. The theatres there are located in the heart of an area where many restaurants offer fine cuisine. So we chose "Gingers" yesterday. Gingers has an excellent reputation... More

The restaurant was empty but we still had to wait for a table. Food was overpriced and disappointing. I had salmon - shocked it wasn't very good. Waiter wouldn't leave us alone - he lingered, and then gave us his business card ......

The food is wonderful at Ginger and thus far (in 4 visits) I've always had great service. I've been there on dates with my husband, on a business dinner, and twice with fairly large groups of friends (one a bachelorette celebration) and the service was always excellent. Well worth the value!
