Description: An Izakaya is a common Japanese bar/restaurant that is often found in cosmopolitan areas for after-work relaxation and an opportunity to unwind after a busy day. Izakaya restaurants all have a multi-faceted menu and offer many types of food such as sashimi, tempura and yakitori; all appetizing dishes which go well with the alcohol served such as beer, sake and shochu. Due to the informal atmosphere, instead of ordering and eating individual platters, customers usually share all dishes with one another in their party. While maintaining true to the Izakaya environment, WANN have brought class, sophistication and refinement to match the modern people of today.

This place is a beautiful design with warm woods and calm jazz in the background. Unlike other Japanese places near here, you can actually hear yourself think and you can talk comfortably. Great place to meet someone for the first time. Nice bar and excellent service. What is incredible is there happy hour menu. It's maybe 20 full-portion dishes, each... More

I honestly think they are the worst rolls I have ever tried, they are huge because of the amount of rice they have. Very little fish inside. The service was Ok, but the food makes it a NO NO to comeback

Wann has a very nice atmosphere and us pretty quiet during the week. The food is always excellent but the sushi menu is limited. But, in Wann's defense, it's not a sushi bar. What they do have is always very good. I love the tempura brie with raspberry sauce and the aonori potato wedges just to name a couple of... More

Went to Seattle for a short getaway. Checked Tripadvisor for Japanese restaurants and made a reservation at Shiro's. Arrived on time at 7 and the restaurant was packed with a long line up. The place looked good and we were expecting a good dinner. When we were called, the only table available was a crappy small square table by a... More

This restaurant has an atmosphere that feels as if it caters to the business men and women working downtown. We were told this was the best sushi restaurant in Seattle and the truth is that we have had better in Montana! If you need a quick meal while you're out and about - this is a good place to eat.... This was a shot in the dark. We are very familiar with Vancouver Izakaya restaurants and everything we read said warning. This was our second of 3 dinners and expected to be the lowest rated one. Not so! As usual we sat at the bar and there was a great dynamic with bar staff. The openning oyster shooters were amazing... More

Went to Wann with my colleagues from work for lunch. There is a large selection of fish, meat, and a few vegetarian options. Most of us had the $11 bento lunch special which is a great sampling of different foods. The spicy tuna roll I had was nothing to rave about, but some of the rolls my colleagues ate they... More

I went here with my wife and boss, great atmosphere for a casual business meeting. We have lived in Seattle for almost 2 years and find it difficult to get sushi similar to what is found in California. Most Seattle sushi is cheap "take a plate of of a conveyor belt" type sushi but Wann does it right and most... More

We went here for sushi and didn't try anything else, but at least those rolls was very good. Lots of different variations, very delicately served as well. Service was very good too.

Wann Japanese Izakaya is located in the Belltown area near Lenora and 2nd Avenue. I came on a Thursday evening at 8:30pm and sat at the bar. It was very mellow with a few groups of people...perfect after a long day of work. I ordered the Kobe Beef Yakisoba. The meal arrived in approximately 10 minutes. Talk about presentation. I... More
