I was here last year quite be accident and I'm still ranting and raving about this place! I stayed in Seattle just one night to catch an early flight back to Europe and stumbled upon this place using my GPS navigator to find restaurants in town. What a great find! We were seated at the bar since we didn't have... More

We had a hard time finding this place, but once we found it we were amazed. The restaurant is small but bustling. The food selection is limited but all options are unique, mouth watering and creative. I had the halibut with asparagus, leeks and lentils. It was light and tasty.

Having read the positive reviews here on Trip Advisor, hubby and I decided to try Matts with my in-laws. I have to say that I found it a bit of a disappointment and not as good as some of the reviews suggest it is. The menu was quite limited and didn't contain much information about the food listed. The seafood... More

Just steps away from the iconic Pike Place Market sign, this restaurant serves a great selection of gourmet seafood dishes, crafted from local ingredients. The ambiance is casual with simple wood tables and exposed structure of the historic building creating the mood. The menu is biased towards seafood and each dish is delivered in an artful manner. The seafood stew... More

We dropped by Matts without a reservation and was lucky enough to get a table for two by the window overlooking Farmers Market. With a beautiful sunset this must have been one of the best tables they have. The menu is rather limited, but still packed with yummi stuff. We had some delicious oysters and a fresh carpaccio for starters,... More

We ate here after reading the tripadvisor reviews. It was very busy (seemingly with locals) and I agree that you have to book. There are some very good cheap places to eat in Pike Market but this is not one of them, though most of the cheaper ones close at 9pm. It is obviously one of the trendy places for... More

Excellent food and service. We were seated right next to the open kitchen, at first I wasn't too happy about that, but it turned out to be the best table to watch the cooks prepare the dishes, enjoyed this very much. The decor was urban chic with these great big windows over looking the Market. Staff was very friendly and... More

I had been waiting to to try Matt's in the Market ever since I heard about their famed Bloody Marys. We didnt have a reservation but the host was gracious and found room for us. The ambiance is nice very urban with the open kitchen. Its definitely a hipster place. When our drink order was taken I asked for a... More

The salmon was superb, pulled pork, Cobb salad, seafood chowder and service were just right. After exploring the market with family visiting from out of town we stopped by for a quick bite. We ended up enjoying a leisurely lunch that was great as always. Matt's is one of the most consistent restaurants in Seattle. If you are downtown put... More
