Absolutely amazing taste treat was the tuna tartare with poached edd. Mashiko's makes fabulous 100% SUTANALBE fish delightes. Make sure to order the Tuna on Snowshoe's too. How many sushi restaurnats really do make their own Ikura and Tamago too? Always an enjoyable dinner is to be had here. Now if I could only talk my hubby into eating here... More

Where else can you find top-quality sushi that is thoughtfully chosen for the day's menu based upon its availability in the natural environment? Chef Hajime selects ingredients that are not over-fished or endangered, not because they are inexpensive compared to last week. The service is very good and the webcam is a fun gimmick. Try the omokase - chef's choice... More

I love that Mashiko only serves sustainable sushi! The sushi is delicious - there's plenty of fish, not too much rice. I've done the Omakase (chef's choice) where they keep bringing you small courses until you tell them to stop. It's not cheap, but it's an incredible experience. Must be willing to try new and interesting foods!

Great sushi, great staff, sustainable fish, best web address, not a tourist destination.

... and the best nabekyaki udon I've ever had. A bit pricey. But it is worth it for a splurge.

And it just happens to be in my neighborhood! I have been there a few times, most recently the other night with my husband. I actually CRAVED Mashiko and had no problem waiting 30 minutes for my table (one of the shorter waits I have ever had there--make reservations if you aren't patient!) Hajime has made sure all the fish... More

This is a "full-menu restaurant that serves sushi and other Japanese food." The menu changes regularly so each time you come you can have something new. We had family with us who had been before so they helped as a guide for some Midwesterners who were not used to Japanese cuisine. For others not used to it, raw fish tastes... More

I did the Omakase with two friends and we had a fantastic experience. We had about 9 courses with several really fantastic dishes. The service was very friendly and knowledgable and our server did a nice job pairing sakes with our courses. Favorites of the evening were the White Salmon and White Toro sushi and the Rock Fish Poké. The... More

We waited a bit for our reserved table at this small restaurant in a lovely neighborhood - west Seattle. Waitress was knowledgeable and helped with our one friend without sushi experience!! We let the chef select our dishes and they were very good. All the fish was extremely fresh and that made it terrific. Our one comment days afterwards was... More
