This meat and three or four is great lunch fair and has become the place of choice for my Dad and Mom. the restaurant is always bustling with business at lunch and your palate will not be disappointed with the down South daily specials.

Great place for breakfast or blue plate specials.. Cute little train that runs around the ceiling.

I have eaten at the Kennesaw Whistle Stop many many times over the years. So much so I am on a first name bases with the staff. The food is what you find in a typical Southern home. Tonight I had a Pork BBQ sammy which they have just started doing for the first time with there own smoker. It...

My Mom was visiting and I wanted to take her to a place with "country cooking." I had eaten lunch 2-3 times here in the past, and the food was good. Not this time! This place is awesome! Prices are great! It has been around forever and recently moved its location to a much larger place....Country fried steak, mash potatoes, gravy, green beans...$5.99. EVERYTHING is good! Jeans and tshirt place with great food!
I have ordered the chicken pot pie twice and it was sour both times! No acknowledgement of the problem and no offer to comp the meal. Won't be going back as I question food handling process. Most of the food is fairly good for the price albeit mostly canned.
Food was nothing special that would make me want to come back. Seated at booth that had been cleaned and left wet. Server took order. Served coffee. Delivered order and completely diappeared. No further contact for coffee, napkins, sauces, etc. Cannot recommend to anyone.

The menu is Southern and loaded with local favorites. The only suggestion I could make is in regards to the cheese grits: a few shavings of...

Whistle Stop has the BEST grits in Cobb County. My family and I eat here at least once a week for breakfast and bring guests when they visit, as well. Can't wait to see the menu when they open up for DINNER soon. Of COURSE there's a train that goes around the room.
