I ordered a BIG Hamburger and a Roast Beef. For the BIG hamburger the meat was tough without sauce. The roast beef was so salty, impossible to feel the meat taste. This is food "bottom of the range" If you like to eat food with good quality, I don't recommend this place

We went here twice and enjoyed it both times. The first visit my husband and I had fish and chips with the fresh Ono. My son had the plate lunch with the rice, gravy, burger and egg. My daughter had a sandwich. She took one taste of my sons gravy and exclaimed "mom!! It's just like my daycare lady used... More

What a great find, even though it was written up in books, we asked a few other places where we could get GOOD barbeque and pork dishes, and several said this Grill! It was a weeknight, seated in 5 minutes, served friendly and fast, and the pork dishes and fish were terrific. Saved room for the mud pie which was... More

Ate here for breakfast on recommendation from locals. The French toast was outstanding (try the coconut syrup) as was the omelette. The staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is a little lacking (I think the building is an old McDonald's) as it is in a shopping center parking lot, but the food is worth the stop.

We ate here one night after a day of driving around the island. I had read some reviews online and it always rated well. We arrived about 7pm, and it took about 15 mins to get a table. The service after that was very quick. We ordered the prime rib special and although I ordered it cooked medium, and it... More

This restaurant is actually my mom's favorite. The food is very satisfying, huge portions and usually well-seasoned. The menu is pretty extensive and has something for everyone. We love to order the mixed plate, where you can choose two entrees. Great for people who have a hard time making decisions. Mom's usual is chicken katsu and teriyaki beef. I like... More

We ate dinner here late one night while staying in Kona. We were staying at the Courtyard Marriott King Kamehameha Hotel and this place came highly recommended by the girls at the front desk as a great locally owned business with good local food. We showed up pretty late on Memorial Day and they were packed. It was less than... More

Have been eating here every time we visit the Big Island for the last 4 years. Love their chicken salad on papaya--very light and tasty. Their oxtail soup on Thursdays is plentiful and soothes the yearning for eating oxtail. The mud pie is delicious and can feed 3-4. Some of the dishes may be a little on the salty side,... More

On a one week vacation to Kona, my wife and I ate three breakfasts, one lunch and one carry-out meal for the flight back to the mainland from the Big Island Grill. For breakfast, I had the corn beef hash, which was formed into hamburger-like patties. It was excellent and was the perfect accompaniment to the eggs and toast. No... More

We are in Hawaii and this is the only place that we were able to get pineapple on our hamburgers! The restaurant is not fancy but the food and service are good, the place is clean and the prices are reasonable for Hawaii. I ordered a banana split and asked if I could have it first and our waitress brought... More
