If you're staying at Melrose Mansion, this bar is right across the street. Great place to grab a drink on your way out or home, and drink in the local flavor while you're there.

Stopped in here for a jazz brunch during Jazz Fest on a Sunday. GREAT old timey jazz group, Some Like It Hot. Food was good and very reasonably priced. Bisquits were like lumps of dough though but everything else was very good. Nice bloody mary's. Good N'Oleans ambiance.

We popped in for beer between parades. Obviously a neighborhood joint. The locals at the bar made room for us and the beer was cold. What more can you ask for!

It was a short walk in the rain and had plenty of room for our group of 8. Service a bit slow but food was good. Our server was informative and pleasant.

We went on April 1st for brunch, sat in the front. Our table was dirty asked the bartender for a rag and she said she would come wipe the table, she never did, she made our drinks but never brought them to us, I could go on she was just HORRIBLE, the food was EXCELLENT as always.

Definitely a local flavor here and great late night menu. You can get great local food or a full breakfast at 3 am. Beer is ice cold and service is A plus
