If you are in NOLA, you have to go to Acme. The char grilled oysters are seriously the best thing I ate during my entire trip. I also ordered their famous friend shrimp and oyster Po-boy. The wait is usually really long, but the oysters are worth it! The prices are also pretty reasonable for the quarter. I plan on... More

We had a group of 11, which I knew would be tough, but I called ahead and they said it shouldn't be more than 30 minutes once we put our names in and we could wait at the bar. Well once we got there, they said everyone should stay in line, since they don't seat incomplete parties. We waited almost... More

Waited 45 minutes, only because I was in a group that swore this was the best place. Don't bother waiting here. There is not much here that warrants a wait, when you can find many other places with the same items. Basically this is a tourist trap that has received some accolades for some reason and people wait in line.... More

.....And I would never, under any circumstances, wait on line to get into such an OK-ish place. But, some praise: -The oysters are well done (but no diff, quality-wise from Felix's). -If you are fan of the deep fried combo platter, this in one of the best, given the deftness of the fryer and the great options to pick from.... We stopped by for lunch and there was already a line outside. Ended up being seated at the bar. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered what they recommended and were not disappointed. The Chargrilled Oysters are a must order and the rest of the food was just as good. I highly recommend dealing with the wait as... More

I'm really going to try to be diplomatic here, but I am truly shocked by how overrated this restaurant is. There are long lines every. single. day. People are clamoring to get in, they queue on and on, down the block, around the corner. The popularity of this place made me think "geez, that food must be really good!" Um,... More

Upon servers suggestions, we tried the chargrilled oysters which was one of the best dishes we had while visiting new Orleans. Crawfish awesome. New Orleans sampler good. Ettouffee was flavorful but not very hearty... Not much meat. Overall, happy with Acme. Would recommend for quality Creole food and atmosphere.

We waited for about 40 minutes. Frankly it's not worth it. Food was nothing extraordinary, plenty of calories, but that's about all. Service acceptable but nothing special. Terribly noisy place, with blaring TVs. Spare yourself the queue and some money. Go somewhere else!

If you are visiting NOLA, you must try the oysters and the best place for this is ACME at the French Quarter. There is always a line outside but is easy to get in. It is a noisy full place and there are some tables to share. The grilled oysters were fantastic! Also the soup...The only thing I didn´t like... More

Excellent local seafood in a relaxed and comfortable setting. The service was great and all of the staff were very friendly. The char broiled oysters were superb!
